OUR SAUCES

Until 1939 the country we call Thailand was known as Siam. It was the only Southeast Asian country never to have been colonized by a Western power. This helped Thailand maintain its cultural identity and its special old world cooking style.

Thai Curry was first made in Sukhothai period (1157-1438 A.D). Sukhothai was one of the early kingdoms of ancient Thailand.

The dishes created using traditional curry paste are some of the most complex and refined in Asia. 

Curries are the richest dish of Thai cuisine and are based on fresh herbs and spices and pounded together in the stone mortar using a pestle. This traditional process releases essential oils from fresh herbs and spices which impart the unique flavors and fragrances.
